There were many expectations from the One Plus 6T, and the feature-packed phone has managed to meet most of them. One Plus has managed to continue its streak of taking down flagship phones once again. The device has led to offer a lot of premium features at the cost of a mid-range device and has yet again occupied the top spot for mid-range smartphones.

Existing One Plus users may or may not switch to the new upgrade, but for all the other people looking to buy a new smartphone in the mid-range level, One Plus 6T is definitely the best choice for them. So what all does the new One Plus 6T offers? Let’s have a look.

One Plus 6T Design And Display

OnePlus 6T

One Plus hasn’t made any significant changes to the design, and the phone looks a lot similar to the One Plus 6 version. But there are a few small changes made to the phone such as the in-screen fingerprint sensor and a tear-drop notch similar to Vivo and Oppo smartphones.
A missing headphone jack can be a major disappointment to a lot of smartphone users, but unlike Apple, One Plus decided to include a USB Type-C to earphone adaptor in the box at no extra cost.

Coming to the display the device sports a slightly bigger screen than the One Plus 6 at 6.4 inch, 0.3 inches bigger than the previous version. The screen isn’t saturated even with the AMOLED display panel, and the tones and screen resolution are well-balanced. The screen resolution is the same as that of the One Plus 6.
The sensors and the camera are well-placed in the notch along with a speaker grille at the top. The smartphone also gives you the option to hide the notch in case you don’t prefer it. Overall the One Plus 6T is a perfect device for immersive gaming and content viewing experience.

One Plus 6T Features And Performance

OnePlus 6T

One Plus 6T comes packed with a powerful Snapdragon 845 Processor (2.8Ghz Quad core Kryo 385 + 1.8 GHz Quad core Kryo 385) and 6 GB of RAM. This powerful setup will ensure you get a lot of “Chicken Dinners” without any lags. The device has a decent battery capacity of 3700 mAh.
Just like its predecessor the device offers a seamless gaming experience without any lags and returns high GeekBench 4 benchmark scores which beat scores of high-end phones like Google Pixel 3 Xl and Samsung Galaxy S9. But, the device was beaten by Huawei Mate 20 Pro regarding performance.

One Plus 6T Camera

One Plus 6T has the same camera specs as that of One Plus 6. The dual rear camera setup consists of a 16 MP Sony IMX519 and a 20MP Sony IMX 376 with f/1.7 aperture. What’s new is a camera algorithm that captures high-quality images of commonly photographed things like food, night scenes, and faces. There’s a slight improvement to selfies and portraits.

A lot of improvement has been made to low-light photography. You just have to give a few seconds for the camera to deliver sharp images.

Final Verdict

One Plus 6T is merely a bit upgraded version of its predecessor and offers just a larger screen and more storage in the same design. With the tear-drop notch and in-display fingerprint sensor, the phone doesn’t really have a lot to offer. So, if you area One Plus 6 user you should probably skip this upgrade.
