Although the Apple iPad Air has seen new versions like the Apple iPad Air2 and the iPad Pro 9.7 it is still one hell of a device when it comes to productivity and performance. The iPad Air got the latest iOS 11.4.1 update and will also be getting the iOS 12 update. So it can be a device worth buying from select retailers or even second hand.

The Apple iPad Air is definitely a device you can go for if you are not ready to shell out a few extra bucks for the newer versions. Let’s now talk about the what all things make this Apple device worth going for.

Coming to the display and screen the Apple iPad Air has the same 9.7-inch screen size as that of its predecessors. But thanks to a smaller case the screen looks bigger. Talking about screen resolution the iPad Air still has the old 2,048×1,536 Retina resolution. This can be a disappointment as a lot of smartphone devices these days are offering a resolution of 2,560×1,600 or 4K resolutions. Luckily it’s hard to spot the difference when it comes to daily use. Thanks to the Retina display and IPS panel viewing angles won’t be compromising the picture quality.

Great Value At A Great Price
The Apple iPad Air is powered by an A7 SoC that Apple introduced with the iPhone 5S. The 64-bit processor is capable of handling a lot of complex and high-end software that can be difficult even for Desktop PCs. The 16 GB version is a disappointment indeed but you can always scavenge the internet for the 32GB or 64GB version.
It’s important to note that unlike its successors the Apple iPad Air doesn’t have a touch ID so if you’re used to it, either you will have to compromise or go for the iPad Air 2.

Talking about camera quality the iPad Air has a 5-megapixel 1080p rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel 720p front camera. Basically, the cameras are pretty much similar to the earlier versions. Although there is one minor change in the front camera which has a larger sensor so the pictures and videos will have a little less noise in them. The speakers can be found at the base of the device and offer an improved sound quality. You also don’t need about the device running out of juice as the battery life is pretty long and the device can last for days on a full charge.
