Huawei Nova 3 Design and Display

Smartphone companies have perhaps decided to stick to similar designs for 2018. Mostly all of the flagship devices have a slimmer design with a big display. With an aluminium body and full glass back, Huawei’s new smartphone is drawing fascinated eyes with its fresh overall look. The phone is quite massive at 6.3 inches (97.4 cm sq.) display and 6.18 x 2.90 x 0.29 in design dimensions. Nova 3 comes in black coupled with twilight (blue), purple and Gold colour variations. Moreover, the build quality is great with the metal front offering a good grip. The glass back can come up as a problem given its slippery-ness.

A hybrid dual SIM tray is located on the left. This is also the slot to place the microSD card. The volume buttons bag a good overall tactile feedback. The device has a headphone socket at the bottom. USB Type-C port (USB 2.0 speed) and speaker grille are placed alongside it. Nova 3 also sports an effective fingerprint sensor at the back below its 16/24MP dual camera. The phone resembles Apple iPhone X quite a lot due to thick borders around a bright display.

Huawei Nova 3 supports a stunning 2340×1080 resolution sharp display. Over 16M display colours are vividly visible and the screen holds enough brightness for a sunny day out. A con that outweighs most of this is that the display does not have any sort of scratch protection. Lack of gorilla glass certainly made us rethink its overall rating. Meanwhile, a 409ppi pixel density ensures a jagged text and colour display.
